Where do you go when you want even more Linux applications?

So you’ve installed the Linux distribution of your choice and are happily tooling around. But there still seems to be something missing.

You’ve looked at the software available in your distributions and installed everything that looks good but you want more? Here are five sites worth looking at which offer a huge amount of programs for Linux you may not find in your repositories.

Sourceforge.net - a huge clearinghouse of user created, mostly free content.

Linuxlinks.com - lots and lots of programs for Linux of the free and not-so-free variety.

Freshmeat.com - programs, articles and how to’s galore.

Gnomefiles.org - Running Gnome? Here’s a great place to stop in and download plenty of apps from.

KDE-Apps.org - Same concept, but for KDE users.

You’ll find lots to keep you busy at the above sites. Happy hunting!
